Take Highway One to Warkworth, then turn right at the 3rd set of lights. You are now on Matakana Road. Stay on this road until you arrive at Matakana Village (and please make sure you slow down as you approach).

Coming from the North?

Take Highway One to Warkworth and turn left at the first set of lights. You are now on Matakana Road. Stay on this road until you arrive at Matakana Village (and please make sure you slow down as you approach).

Getting Around

While a car is recommended for getting the most from our beautiful area, there are a few options for getting around once you are here. Check our website for local taxi and tour operators.

Auckland Transport (AT) now operate regular bus services from Auckland to Warkworth (via Silverdale), and once here there are buses servicing Snells Beach (996), Matakana/Omaha/Pt Wells (997) and Wellsford (998).

There are also long-haul buses from the north and south, however you would have to alight at Warkworth.
